Our Team

Chris Wood

Managing Director

With over 20 years experience in recruitment, Chris is a ‘hands on’ Managing Director with a proven ability to develop and strengthen client relationships. He is passionate about education and started the Staff Room agency because he wanted to bring a fresh, new approach to supply recruitment within the primary sector. Chris is extremely proud of the fantastic team at The Staff Room and the teachers and support staff that work so hard in our client schools.

Hobbies and interests:

When not being a taxi service to his two teenage children, Chris likes to spend his time relaxing with family and friends, eating

Claire Radford

Administration and Compliance Manager

Claire has over 25 years experience in PA, secretarial and administrative roles, including 6 years at BSI Quality Assurance. She fully understands the importance of having an ethos of ISO 9000 and policy compliance. Claire has an eye for detail to ensure all aspects of company administration are processed accurately and are fully compliant.

Hobbies and interests:

Claire enjoys yoga, foreign films, reading crime thrillers and walking her dog, Bert!

Stephen McCabe

Milton Keynes Education Consultant

Stephen is new to the education recruitment sector but has 6 years experience at senior management level within retail environments. His responsibilities included KPI management, staff recruitment and development, client account management and regional trainer.

Hobbies and interests:

Stephen is a big football fan and loves Manchester United. When the football isn’t on he enjoys spending time with his fiancée and their two rabbits. Reading is a big interest of Stephen’s and he has been known to read a whole book meant for holiday before he has actually arrived at his destination.

Claire Potterton

Administrator

Claire is relatively new to The Staff Room but already can see how important it is to get the right candidates on board to ensure we put the best teachers in the right schools. She has worked within the Education sector for many years as an administrator in a busy primary school and is enjoying her move to this area of work.

Hobbies and interests:

Outside of work Claire is proud to be a Brownie leader and has done this for the last 9 years! She loves spending time with her family and walking her dog, Buddy!
