HLTA, Full Time, Permanent, Northampton, September 2019

The Staff Room is looking to recruit a HLTA to work with our client school based in Northampton. The position is a full time, permanent position due to begin September 2019.

Our client school is a two-form entry primary school based in Northampton with an on-site nursery.

The school’s team of dedicated staff believe that children achieve their best in a safe, secure and happy school community and they work hard to make sure this is the case for the learners every day.

Our client school strongly believe that good relationships between people in the school community are essential in securing success for each child.

Our client school’s vision is to create a school where every child achieves through a focus on high quality teaching and learning.

As a HLTA you will be expected to take on all the usual duties and responsibilities of a general teaching support assistant but may be expected to take on further levels of responsibility such as:

  • planning and preparing lessons
  • marking pupil’s work
  • delivering lessons
  • any other duties or responsibilities that the school may require to ensure smooth running in its day-to-day activities

Our client school warmly welcomes school visits.

The Staff Room Requirements

  • You MUST have at least 6 months of experience within the last 5 years working within your desired role in a UK school setting.
  • Candidates must be energetic, motivated, with a commitment to show patience, adaptability and responsibility throughout the duration of your assignment.
  • You must show initiative and the ability to work confidently on your own as well as being able to work as part of a large team.
  • You will need to satisfactorily complete all safeguarding checks to include an enhanced DBS check, children’s barred list check, Teaching Regulation Agency checks and professional references (at least 1 x reference must be able to comment on your experience and suitability working within an HLTA role and should also be able to comment on safeguarding over a minimum 3 month period)

You will be invited to an informal interview with our friendly recruitment consultants so that we can get to know you a little bit better and ensure we offer assignments that suit YOU!
