Primary SEN ASD Teacher, Full Time, Fixed, Rushden, ASAP – July 2019

The Staff Room is urgently seeking a SEN primary teacher to work within our client school.

Our client school is a two-form entry Primary School located in Rushden, Northamptonshire. The school has approximately 470 pupils on roll which includes a 39 place Nursery and 14 place SEN unit for pupils with autism.

The successful candidate will be working within the school’s SEN unit. The SEN unit is partially full and currently has 6 pupils, some of which spend time outside of the unit in class. There are 3 other adults within the unit.

Experience of working with an ASD child or children is essential. Team Teach training is preferred. The successful candidate will be required to work full time or 4 days per week for the right candidate. NQT’s with the relevant experience are welcome to apply. Our client school would welcome a visit to their school.

  • You must hold QTS
  • You will need to satisfactorily complete all safeguarding checks to include enhanced DBS, Teaching Regulations Agency Check, Children's Barred List Check and professional references.
  • All candidates must be energetic, motivated, with a commitment to show patience, adaptability and responsibility throughout the duration of your assignment. You must show initiative and the ability to work confidently on your own as well as being able to work as part of a large team.
